| The British Ambassador will present MSc diplomas to the graduates of TPU Heriot-Watt Petroleum Engineering Approved Support Centre |

On October 26, 2007 in Moscow Residence of the British Ambassador to Russia MSc diplomas of Heriot-Watt University (Edinburgh, UK) will be awarded to the graduates of TPU Heriot-Watt Petroleum Engineering Approved Support Centre. The official ceremony will be held by the British Ambassador to Russia Mr. Anthony Brenton. The prestigious diplomas will be presented to 52 graduates.
It is worth noting, that Tomsk Polytechnic University is the only HEI in Russia to prepare such elite specialists with good fundamental and multidisciplinary knowledge, capable of working in a team and perform research projects, able to build geological and hydrodynamic models of oil and gas fields and manage their engineering. The Centre was established at Tomsk Polytechnic University in 2001 due to cooperation of TPU and the Heriot-Watt Institute of Petroleum Engineering.
The Centre has trained 453 specialists. At present, 75 students are offered courses at the Petroleum Learning Centre of TPU Heriot-Watt Petroleum Engineering Approved Support Centre. During the academic year professors from Heriot-Watt University as well as certified TPU instructors deliver lectures in the Centre. All teachers of the Centre are certified to teach subjects in English.
